Atlante Contest: innovative architecture for charging that redesigns urban public spaces.

This project reinvents the electric vehicle charging station as a sophisticated element of urban architecture. Designed for Atlante, it merges functionality and aesthetic clarity, introducing minimal brass chargers, mirrored canopies, and branded spatial dividers that organize and elevate the environment. The result is a clean and contemporary landscape where technology naturally integrates into the urban fabric.

A refined vision of urban charging, composed with architectural precision.

In a world where infrastructure often fades into the background, we seized the opportunity to elevate it to architecture. Our vision transforms the charging station into a refined urban element: functional, elegant, and perfectly integrated into the city’s rhythm.

Urban Future

Architecturally, the project embraces minimalism and spatial clarity, using clean geometries to define each charging station. Low concrete walls subtly structure the layout, adding identity through branding. Mirrored canopies float above on slender pillars, visually dissolving into the environment and avoiding visual heaviness. Each element is designed not only for function but to contribute to a harmonious and contemporary public space.

Reimagining the Charging Experience

This concept, developed for an architecture contest launched by Atlante, redefines the traditional electric vehicle charging station, transforming it into a significant part of contemporary urban design. Instead of treating it as a mere service area, the project envisions a refined urban space where infrastructure meets intention.

The design consists of a series of coordinated elements: slender brass charging columns, mirrored canopies, and branded concrete walls behind each station. These sculptural interventions help structure the space, offering a calm and sophisticated experience to the user. Materials were carefully selected for their elegance and durability, transforming functional objects into true architectural features.

The mirrored canopies soften their presence by reflecting the surrounding environment, while prismatic floor bumpers and minimal lighting add nuances and atmosphere. Even the bulky technical units, often overlooked, are clad with elegant metallic shells, allowing them to seamlessly integrate into the environment. This vision transforms a standard energy hub into a place of design and identity.
