Interior design project for a private villa in Rome, Italy

A perfect fusion of Roman heritage and Moroccan elegance, this villa renovation project redefines timeless luxury. Immersed in travertine and soft beige tones, it unfolds into serene interiors and sculpted exteriors that honor both Italian sophistication and the cultural soul of Morocco. Located in the heart of Rome, the Moroccan ambassador’s residence underwent a transformative reconstruction, where architecture becomes a cultural dialogue. The villa’s facade is now clad in refined travertine, its delicate beige tones complemented by natural light and the surrounding landscape.

A newly-designed patio opens onto a tranquil outdoor realm, complete with a reflecting pool, an open-air gazebo, and luxurious garden paths that invite both relaxation and formal gatherings. The materials and geometry evoke subtle grandeur, blending Italian minimalism with a warm, Mediterranean openness.

The design subtly references the ambassador’s heritage through refined decorative elements—sculptural lighting fixtures, selected textures, and handcrafted finishes that evoke Moroccan art without overshadowing the clean European lines.

Inside, the villa adopts a neoclassical interior concept, harmonized through a palette of soft beige and sand tones.

The living room continues this narrative of understated luxury: organic silhouettes, a central sculptural artwork, and cream-toned seating form a space that appears both ceremonial and inviting. The lighting design gently floods the space, enhancing its depth and creating an almost museum-like sense of calm for relaxation and refined hospitality.

The bedroom suite exemplifies this balance: calm and curated, it features textured wall panels, integrated lighting, and a subdued color palette that promotes rest.

Custom-made furnishings in matte gold and neutral fabrics create an oasis of peace, blending East and West in a space that is both elegant and intimate.
