A comfortable start to a beautiful journey
Each seat offers more than comfort: it invites presence. Born from the spirit of grand touring, their sculpted form and tactile depth transform every journey into a moment to inhabit.
Lines of Rest and Movement
A red line traces the backrest and gently splits at the headrest, framing an adjustable support for comfort and clarity. Lacquered side panels impart a sense of movement, their smooth surface catching the light like a surface built for travel. Subtle metallic lines along the armrest hint at movement held in pause—details that discreetly evoke speed, precision, and balance.
Journey into Design
This project was developed in collaboration with Borcad, an engineering company specializing in advanced seating systems for public transport. It originated from a design competition launched by Trenitalia as part of the renovation of its high-speed train interiors. Our studio was invited to create a concept for the first-class lounge, aiming to elevate the passenger experience while aligning with technical and comfort standards.
Drawing on our roots in Italian automotive design, we approached the project with a focus on elegance, movement, and identity. The seat was conceived not just as a functional object, but as part of a broader spatial narrative: one that speaks of comfort, rhythm, and refined visual coherence. It reflects our studio’s ability to translate design heritage into a contemporary language, blending aesthetics and utility into a bespoke solution for modern travel.
